In memory of Jogita Jurevska

An older woman in blue with a blue background

It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Kursas dear Jogita Jurevska, who passed away this January.

Jogita Jurevska was one of Kursa’s longest working employees. She wore many hats, and was Kursa’s biggest cheerleader because both of her daughters Anda and Laila had been former students. She worked tirelessly behind the scenes ensuring that each student felt welcomed and listened to. She was also a source of camp history. If we had a question about any former graduates and or Kursa history, she was the one to turn to for the answers. Every year she would tell us, that is was her last year at Kursa, but she always felt a calling to come back for the students. Jogita will be greatly missed by all of her former students and co-workers at Kursa.
